H.O.R.S.E. Poker Tip One – Take Notice
This is one of the best things you can do when playing a game of H.O.R.S.E. Notice which players at the table are uncomfortable playing which games. Which players are aggressive during which games and which sit back and can't wait for a segment to end? Take advantage of this when possible.
H.O.R.S.E. Poker Tip Two – Know the Odd Games
If you really want to be good at H.O.R.S.E., take the time to learn the games no one else will. Be a little better at 7 card stud, 7 Card 8 or Better and Razz. There are not many of these games being played in a casino and if you knew the strategies of these games better than most, it could turn into a profitable game for you.
H.O.R.S.E. Poker Tip Three – Not One Style
It will also be very wise if you concentrate on changing your style of play around as the games moves on. Poker players call it "changing gears". Keeping your opponent of guard can also be very awarding. Play aggressive in one round of holdem and maybe a little passive in the next. Challenge players in a stud round and check/call in the next. This will not only keep players guessing as to what you will do next but if they are also taking notes, it will be harder for them to pin you down as a certain type of player.
